If you want to make an appeal to the Immigration & Protection Tribunal, you should use the forms on this webpage.
Some forms also have guides that will help you assess whether or not you are entitled to appeal to the tribunal. The guides also provide information on how to lodge an appeal and what happens after you lodge your appeal.
Appeals to the tribunal must be lodged within specific timeframes. Each of the guides contains information on how you calculate the period in which you must appeal.
You will need to pay a fee to lodge most types of appeals, except refugee and protection appeals. The fees are listed next to the forms.

Use this form if you have been served a Deportation Liability Notice after your refugee and/or protection status was cancelled and you want to appeal to the tribunal against your liability for deportation.

Use this form if you are liable for deportation because:
* Each person aged 18 years or over must pay this fee.
Note: fees include GST. The fee will only be refunded if the appeal cannot be accepted.
Use this form if you have appointed a new representative since your appeal was lodged.
Use this form if you want to withdraw your appeal. You can withdraw an appeal at any time until a decision has been issued by the tribunal. Your appeal fee will not be refunded if you withdraw your appeal.
These forms are for Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment officers only.
In some cases, your appeal will be withdrawn by the tribunal if you leave New Zealand. You should contact Immigration New Zealand to find out more about your immigration status.
