This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames A-E:

Carl Vincent Anderson

TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to part 2 of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005, compensation awarded to Carl Vincent Anderson is required to be paid to the Secretary for Justice, and the surplus after deductions is to be held in Trust on behalf of Carl Vincent Anderson.

AND THAT on 8 July 2020, $16,192.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Carl Vincent Anderson. This money must be held in the Trust Account to enable any victims of Carl Vincent Anderson to make claims against it.

ANY PERSON that has been a victim of Carl Vincent Anderson, in respect of an offence for which Carl Vincent Anderson was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Carl Vincent Anderson. Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.

TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to part 2 of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005, compensation awarded to Fereti Baice is required to be paid to the Secretary for Justice, and the surplus after deductions is to be held in Trust on behalf of Fereti Baice.

AND THAT on 3 September 2020, $14,720.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Fereti Baice. This money must be held in the Trust Account to enable any victims of Fereti Baice to make claims against it.

ANY PERSON that has been a victim of Fereti Baice, in respect of an offence for which Fereti Baice was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Fereti Baice. Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker

TAKE NOTICE THAT:

Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker has received compensation to which the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (PVCA) applies.

Pursuant to Part 2 of the PVCA, compensation awarded to an offender is paid to the Secretary for Justice and, after certain deductions, is put into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to be held in trust for the offender to enable victims of the offender to make claims against it.

On 17 November 2020, $20,608.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker.

This money must be held in the Trust Account until paid out in accordance with the PVCA.  Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker.

ANY PERSON who has been a victim of Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker in respect of an offence for which Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Matenga Toti Tuamele Stanley Baker.

Trent John Birch

TAKE NOTICE THAT:

Trent John Birch has received compensation to which the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (PVCA) applies.

Pursuant to Part 2 of the PVCA, compensation awarded to an offender is paid to the Secretary for Justice and, after certain deductions, is put into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to be held in trust for the offender to enable victims of the offender to make claims against it.

On 20 October 2020, $18,314.79 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Trent John Birch.

This money must be held in the Trust Account until paid out in accordance with the PVCA.  Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Trent John Birch.

ANY PERSON who has been a victim of Trent John Birch, in respect of an offence for which Trent John Birch was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Trent John Birch.

Graeme William Burton

A compensation payment has been made to Graeme William Burton in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Graeme William Burton to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Graeme William Burton.

On 28 January 2021, $1000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Graeme William Burton.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Graeme William Burton until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Graeme William Burton, in respect of an offence for which Graeme William Burton was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Graeme William Burton.

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of George William Cowen to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to George William Cowen.

On 17 March 2021, $750.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of George William Cowen.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for George William Cowen until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of George William Cowen, in respect of an offence for which George William Cowen was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of George William Cowen.

Darryn John Crowley has received compensation to which the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (PVCA) applies.

Pursuant to Part 2 of the PVCA, compensation awarded to an offender is paid to the Secretary for Justice and, after certain deductions, is put into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to be held in trust for the offender to enable victims of the offender to make claims against it.

On 13 October 2020, $26,500.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Darryn John Crowley.

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Samuel Dennis Elise to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Samuel Dennis Elise.

On 26 May 2021, $1,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Samuel Dennis Elise.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Samuel Dennis Elise until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Samuel Dennis Elise, in respect of an offence for which Samuel Dennis Elise was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Samuel Dennis Elise.
